Since the inception of Sapien and the creation of our products, we have always focused on the benefits of living a healthier life with a clearer state of mind. While we contemplated the direction we needed to take, we also broadened our scope to look at ways in which we could help the world as a whole.
Our product development team is pushing the limits of what we thought possible while ever evolving the products we create.
Supporting the war on plastic is the logical next step as we unveil our latest concept.
Using 100% recycled cosmetics containers and new manufacturing techniques, Sapien has created a desk surface for a new age of sustainable desk.

MISSION ACCEPTED
Our project began by consolidating and testing recycled plastics from all over the world and hundreds of suppliers.
Once we had found the most striking and best suited ethically sourced materials, the stress testing phase was carried out until we had a winning formula for our first ever recycled plastic desk top.
The team then collaborated with our in-house engineers to create a concept that’s truly unique, is hard wearing and would pose no problem for our logistics partners.
Combining 100% recycled plastic with our ethically sourced wooden desk tops created a hybrid that is not overly heavy and can stand up to the most demanding of uses.
Our first concept was then successfully mounted to our Sapien desk frame. Removing plastic from the environment that would have been destined for land fill or even the ocean and the birth of Zero Desk.

Words are powerful but it is only through actions that real change will happen. At Sapien we strive to continuously reduce our environmental impact by finding ways to reduce our negative impact on the planet. We look for ways to reduce our carbon footprint and use environmentally friendly materials in our products and packaging wherever we can.
Our desk tops are made of sustainably sourced, recyclable wood: 30% from recycled wood, 45% from repurposed sawmill wood and 25% industrial logwood which has been carefully sourced from FSC certified forests in Europe.
